Services
SalT Assessing and Training provides a range of specialised services tailored to meet the needs of children, families, and professionals involved in child protection and foster care. These services include
Completion of Foster and Kinship Assessments
We conduct thorough assessments for both the initial approval and renewal of foster and kinship carers. This process ensures that all carers meet the necessary standards and are equipped to provide safe, nurturing environments for children in their care.

Completion of Suitability and Permanency Assessments
We offer comprehensive suitability assessments to determine the appropriateness of potential carers or placements. Permanency assessments focus on identifying long-term, stable homes for children who require ongoing care, ensuring their best interests are prioritised.

Assessments Requested by Child Safety or NGOs
Our team is equipped to carry out various assessments as requested by Child Safety services or Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). These may include risk assessments, placement reviews, suitability assessments and other specialised evaluations to support child protection efforts.

Convene Family Group Meetings (FGMs) and Develop Case Plans
We facilitate Family Group Meetings, bringing together family members, carers, and professionals to discuss the child's needs and create collaborative solutions. Our team also develops detailed case plans to guide the child's care and support, ensuring alignment with Child Safety requirements.

Specific Training and Staff Development
Upon request, we provide tailored training sessions and professional development opportunities for staff working in child protection, foster care, and related fields. This training enhances the skills and knowledge of professionals, equipping them to better support the children and families they serve.

Professional Supervision
We offer professional supervision services to support the ongoing development and well-being of staff in the child protection and foster care sectors. This supervision ensures that staff maintain high standards of practice, manage stress effectively, and continue to grow in their roles.
